Information and Referral
Information and Referral shares information regarding all current DIRECT programs as well as services and resources available in the
community for people with disabilities. Resources are explored and reviewed with individuals who may have been impacted by some barrier in their life. The Information and Referral Specialist can help by providing the right tools to help increase and gain self-sufficiency through needed resources such as:

• Housing (example: helping locate resources for low-income housing)
• Transportation (example: how to get connected to bus services)
• Financial assistance (example: rental, and utility resources)
• Legal advocacy (example: discrimination, fair housing, or ADA guidelines)
• In-home care services (example: caregiving, light housekeeping resources)
• Health services (example: services for disabled, health clinics or prescription help)
